Change JioFi Password in 3 Simple Steps - EHB
Today, I will tell you three simple steps for changing the password of your JioFi. The password that comes with Jiofi by default is hard to remember because it is a random string that contains a combination of letters and numbers. So by following these steps, you can change your JioFi password so that it will be easy to remember. Changing passwords frequently also helps in keeping you secure from hackers.
How To Change JioFi password:
1. Connect to your JioFi device
In this step, you have to connect your mobile or laptop with the Jiofi device by the default password provided by Jio. Just follow the following steps:
- Turn on the JioFi device
- Go to Wi-Fi settings on mobile or laptop
- When you see your JioFi device among the available list of Wi-Fi signals, click on it and enter your jiofi default password
- Click on connect
2. Go to http://jiofi.local.html and log in using Username and Password
Now that your device and JioFi device are connected, we have to go to the reliance wireless router website for further process.
From the device connected to JioFi, go to http://jiofi.local.html or http://192.168.225.1. Now you will see an interface like the one below:
On the top right, you can see a Login option. Click on it. After clicking, it will ask for a username and password. The default username for JioFi routers is: administrator and the default password is: administrator given by jio. You can also change your login username and password if you want.
3. Go to 'Network > Wi-Fi Configuration' and change your JioFi password
After logging in, you will see an interface like:
Click on Network, and you will see a bunch of options. Just select 'Wi-Fi Configuration' among them.
Now scroll down to the bottom, and there you will see a password field. Click on it and enter your new password. After entering a new password, click on the 'save' button. That's it. Now you have to reconnect with JioFi using your new password.
